OMG!

OMG!! It has been a crazy couple of weeks.  I haven't had a chance to get over here and post all the things that have been going on only cause so much has been going on I can't keep up.  Mostly stress!! STRESS! STRESS! STRESS!!! Everyday.  Stress over my business, my new business ventures, Hayden and school, Ava and being sick and playing soccer, Beau---- just being BEAU, and last but not least MATT trying to get ready to go back to college and all that fun stuff.  See.... told ya. LOTS!!

Let's see in the last couple of weeks I went to Vegas with Katy for market and it was fun but way to LONG!!! To many days away from my family.  We were there for 7 days.  As anyone who has traveled with friends will tell you 7 days away from your family and being with your friends is a lot.  On the upside she did have an amazing show and got lots and lots of rave reviews (and orders) for the new Caden Lane Collection.  I on the other hand just hung out, helped, gained 5 pounds from eating out everyday, but I did win playing craps one night so that was fun!

Got back from Vegas and tried to get in the swing of things. I'm juggling it all right now. Trying to get the shirts done, get some new things for the store, and working with Beau on all his new ventures. 

So, here I am on a Friday working at the store trying to find a way to make more MONEY (aren't we all) and hoping that it will RAIN RAIN RAIN this weekend so I can hibernate inside with my babies.

My Hump, My Hump, My Hump....

Do you know the Black Eyed Peas?  hahaha It's hump day and it's been another LONG day.  I got up super early today and got to the store by 9:15ish and it was non-stop all day.  I kinda figured out that darn Illustrator!! Kinda!  Got some designs going for my stuff, did some postcards, and started Beau's business cards.  It's all a work in progress but hopefully I will make a little headway tomorrow.  I left in the middle of it all to go meet my mom with the babies to take them to their last day of swim lessons.  I was already running late and I met her at a gas station so I could save some time  but low and behold my mom forgot the backpack!! Ugh! It had the much needed SWIM SUITES that are the only gear required fro swim lessons.  So much for trying to save time!  I had to go back to Country Home and pick it up then all the way back to swim lessons.  Needless to say they were late.  They did get there in enough time to show me what they were able to do after lessons for 6 weeks.  It was great and Hayden is doing so good.  Ave on the other hand.. not so much.  She freaks herself out a lot of the time.  After all that fun it was time to go back to the store and try to finish up some more stuff.  Then I got out of there around 6 and headed home.  Ahhhh day ends. 

Now I'm sitting here watching those crazy people that choose to drive an eightteen wheeler across the freeking ICE!   The Ice Road Truckers.  Who does that?!!!  When we went to go visit Mathue in Steamboat I thought the world was coming to an end when we had to go over Rabbit Ears Pass.  That was CRAZYYYYY!  There is nothing or no one for MILES. Just you and the endless snow and cold.  So the thought of driving over frozen water.... I would have to put under for that trip.  I mean really how much do these crazies get paid?  Hope it's enough.  Or maybe they just do it for the adrenaline rush.  Have you seen the young girl that's a driver now?  She weights probably 125 pounds wet and there she is  driving a big rig across the snow and ice covered roads.  Guess it goes to show woman can do ANYTHING!

Wow! What A Day!

Thanks to my good friend Cara she totally set me up with some awesome Ob/Gyn's here in town.  She is a drug rep and sees these Dr.'s all the time so she planted a little bug in their ear that I had a cute maternity shop and I would love to drop off postcards and goody boxes.  I so appreciated that she took the time to mention us and spread the good word about our boutique.  So because she did all the talking around town yesterday I followed up today with postcards and the boxes (what's in the box is a secret.... you have to get pregnant, go see your Dr then you will receive on in your new mommy goody bag ).  I went to one BIG Dr's complex and walked and talked my butt off.  We will see what kinda of results we get from it.  Everyone I saw was very receptive and very much appreciated the goodies.  The list is growing and that's always a good thing.  I use to be a great sales rep so I'm putting on my nice clothes, doing up the makeup and hair and heading out to get our name out there more.  Even though we've been in business over 5 years you can never get to comfortable and not worry about networking and marketing.  It was a very productive day and for some reason before I knew it it was 6!

wake up

get kids ready and Beau took them today (a little late)

got ready and headed out the door

10am store and started making marketing boxes

made some calls, did some faxing, sent some emails

then lunch with the hubby (cause I just don't see him enough)

off marketing to the medical center

back to the store and spent the rest of the afternoon trying to figure out Illustrator.  Does anyone know how to work that program?  Let me tell you Jessica and I are like the blind leading the blind but we are kinda figuring it out and at the end of the day she finished one postcard and Lindsey and I finished one for Show and Tell and started another for Chic Mama.  

got into another argument with Mathue (what else is knew) stressed and was overwhelmed by that

then tried to pull it together to help bra fit one customer and help another choose what tummy cream to buy.  

Then off to the casa.... where I am now sitting and typing to you.  FUN! What a day.  

off to Target or Academy to buy Ava her soccer gear.  Yes she's doing it and not Hayden but he's doing swim.  So we have one that does one and one that does the other.

Monday again!

It's Monday and I hope it's been a good one so far for everyone.  I skipped the gym (so much for getting back on the wagon) only because I wanted to get to the store early and my kids needed to get to school by 8:30.  I'm trying REALLY REALLY hard to get them there at 8:15 when it starts.  We have always been the loser parents that take their kids to school right before the fun stuff starts at 9:30 but Ava's teacher told me the other day that she misses out on so much stuff because they start the day at 8:15.  So in an attempt to be a better parent I'm on a mission to get them to school by 8:30 (I gotta work my way to 8:15).  Today we got there at like 8:38 so not to bad.  Then I just came straight to the store to get a jump start on the day.  But unfortunately it's been a very slow sad day.  Come on peeps come in and visit us.  Jessica and I rearranged the store on Saturday and it looks so cute so you should stop by and see it.

2 times in 1 day! Watch out!

I know can you believe I'm back already.  I wanted to change things up so I changed the look of the blog and I finally figured out how to link the blog to my website.  FINALLY!  I'm not very computer savvy so it takes way longer to figure this stuff out.  Right now Beau and I feel like the blind leading the blind because we both have TONS of ideas but only if we could understand stupid Illustrator or Photo Shop! UGH!! Story of our lives.  

Any who..  Is everyone ready to get the kids back to school?  Do you have a power packed breakfast ready to go?  Kiddos got their new outfits picked out along with their new backpack packed with all their new supplies?  That use to be my favorite of all things.... having my new outfit.  The shoes, the hair accessories, the clothes, the new backpack, and all my folders with my name written on them with the dots on the corners (you know what I mean?) D.D. Sanchez on everything.  Awe those were the days.  So, so, so long ago.  My baby Hayden graduates from pre-kinder on Friday then starts Kindergarten on the following Monday.  Good luck to all you busy mommies that are staying up right now doing laundry and all those last minute things.

As for me, I'm once again watching DIY (at this point I could build you a house), working on the blog, and still doing stupid laundry.  I have already packed my gym bag because tomorrow I am once again attempting to get back on the wagon.  I HAVE to!  I have gained probably 5 pounds from stress eating and as everyone knows you can gain that S**t back so quick but it takes FOREVER to lose!! So I'm gonna try to sew my jaw shut! Think skinny thoughts (doubt that will help)!  And last but not least get back to the gym.  At the end of the day it's calories in versus calories out!!! So wish me luck.  I will keep you posted.  If I was brave enough I would tell you how much I weight but at this point I'm not that COMFORTABLE with that! hahahaha
